MARIA BROCKE
I am Maria. I work in painting and draw dresses, houses, and Blue's house. I like to make art. I sing in my Performing Arts class. I have fun at Neighborhood Center of the Arts, NCA. I like going to NCA. I have friends and like to draw flowers. I sell the art and paintings. I am happy. I ride the bus to NCA. Bryan is my bus driver. He is a nice guy. I like him. I smile. My mom picks me up after work. I write my name. I like Amee and love much. I have made scarves, and shawls in weaving class. When I draw I use pens. I like mermaids.
Maria reports: "Matt (NCA instructor) made a painting of me. Matt gave the painting to my mom and the painting is in my house now. The painting makes me happy." Maria has been attending NCA since 1988, and her work has been exhibited in numerous local shows, and in Sacramento, U.C. Davis, and Copenhagen, Denmark.
