I am an artist. I work at the Neighborhood Center of the Arts, NCA. I work and take the bus. My work is art. I made a painting is Susan’s class on Tuesday. The painting was huge. I used white paint, orange paint, red paint, blue paint on the canvas. I was at the art show the day my painting sold. I jumped up for joy when I made that money. I like to shop and go out to eat with my money. I shop, eat, and buy toys. I am part of the community class and I go to the dollar store with my teachers. I learn how to behave and be nice in the community. I am growing a lot. I am an adult. An adult means you need to not act like a little girl. I need to be busy. I like to draw butterflies, birds, cats, and dogs. I like to use pastels, colored pencils, and crayons. My classes are fun and I have friends here who really like me so I am enjoying myself. Every time I go home I feel happy.
Laresa reports: "Come here and introduce yourself to us. It seems to be that we are all nice people. People need to come meet me and the other artists. If you come and see us you might want to buy our art. Buying art helps artists and the teachers get paid. This is important because we need a place to work and be with our friends."
