DIANA BOUCHIE
Diana has attended NCA since 1991. She has worked in a wide variety of media from fiber, jewelry and woodworking to clay, acrylics and pencils. Some of her most successful recent work includes self portraits in pen, ink and permanent marker that seem to portray Diana in varying emotional and chronological guises. Much of her other work tells stories about her life, her friends and the people she loves. Flowers and animals also figure prominently in her work, and her obsession with words and language also reveals itself in her artistic word puzzle creations. In 2005 Diana was selected for inclusion in "Compelled to Create", an exhibition at Arts Benecia, in Benecia, California. The exhibition featured artists from five centers in northern California serving artists with developmental diabilities.
