My name is Ben Smith and I collect birthdays. If I ask you when your birthday is I will say it out loud and then put it in my collection of birthdays. I keep my collection in my head and if you ask me later I can tell you the exact date. But most of all I like the weather. My friends at NCA call me the weather man because I can remember the forecast for the day and even the week. I like the weather channel but most of all I like KCRA, chief meteorologist Mark Finan. I watch Mark Finan everyday. I like to see if Mark Finan is right about the weather. So I listen to Mark Finan in the evenings during the 5 o’clock news. Between 5:10pm and 5:20pm he talks about the forecast for this area, Grass Valley. Then the next day in the morning when I get up I watch Eileen Javora for the daily weather during 5:15am to 7:00am. The last check of the weather is at 6:46am. I catch the bus at 7:15 so I wait a while and get ready for work. On Tuesdays I work with Jan and on Thursdays I work with Christina. When I am at NCA I color. I use pastels. I usually use my 4 favorite colors. 1st is green, I like green it is the color of the trees and when you put two greens together they make a dark green. 2nd is light green 3rd is dark purple and 4th is blue, blue is like water. I fill the whole paper until it is covered. I start in the middle and finish on the left side. NCA makes me feel good because I sell my art and I like to make my mom and dad happy!
